Administration
An IDEA HS Board of Directors composed of administrators in eight public universities guide Illinois IDEA HS in serving Illinois needs for homeland security education. Alliance registrars and other groups with similar interests facilitate the seamless transfer of course credit and finances.
The eight Alliance Campus Coordinators meet regularly to manage the day-to-day operations of the Alliance on their campus and to trouble-shoot problems as they emerge. Their responsibilities include advising and registering students at their home campuses.
Northern Illinois University (NIU) acts as the lead institution at the request of the Board of Directors. NIU and its partner Western Illinois University serve on the Grant Steering Committee to implement Higher Education Cooperation Act funds provided by the Illinois Board of Higher Education.
